Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 24, 2026
Griddo is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your tasks, notes, and personal data belong to you and only you.
Data Storage
All your data — tasks, notes, voice recordings, and attachments — is stored locally on your device and synced to your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework. Griddo does not operate its own servers. Your data lives in your iCloud private database, which only you can access.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not collect analytics or usage data.
- We do not use tracking technologies or advertising identifiers.
- We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties.
Device Permissions
Griddo may request access to the following device capabilities. Each is optional and only used when you choose to enable the related feature:
- Calendar — To sync tasks with due dates to a dedicated Griddo calendar.
- Reminders — To import your existing reminders as Griddo tasks.
- Contacts — To let you link contacts to tasks for quick reference.
- Location — To set location-based task reminders that trigger when you arrive at or leave a place.
- Microphone — To record voice notes attached to tasks.
- Speech Recognition — To transcribe voice notes into text.
- Notifications — To send reminders for tasks with due dates.
You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
iCloud
Griddo uses Apple's CloudKit to sync data across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud private database, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. Griddo has no ability to read your iCloud data from a server. For details on how Apple protects iCloud data, see Apple's iCloud security overview.
Third-Party Services
Griddo does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, or advertising networks. The app communicates only with Apple's iCloud servers for data sync.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained only as long as it exists on your device and in your iCloud account. You can delete individual tasks, notes, and attachments within the app at any time. Uninstalling Griddo removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, you can manage your iCloud storage through iOS Settings.
Children's Privacy
Griddo does not knowingly collect any data from children. The app does not require account creation, does not collect personal information, and contains no advertising or third-party tracking.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Griddo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
